You and your family are cordially invited to join us on the beautiful grounds of King Gillette Ranch in Calabasas, California for The Advocacy Group Project’s first annual Day of Community & Education.

On June 26th, community members are called to come together to cultivate a new understanding of the overdose crisis, where TAG Project will discuss and offer solutions to the addiction and mental health crisis currently impacting families nationwide, including NARCAN in the immediate, and recovery in the long term.

  • Enjoy food and drinks from local vendors.

  • The event opens with a short group meditation.

  • Learn from Lauren Brock, founder of The Advocacy Group, about what The Advocacy Group Project is doing to mitigate the addiction and mental health crisis with families, along side parents whose children are in the various stages of recovery. NARCAN training and long term sobriety strategies to combat the overdose crisis.

  • Our wellness partners The Giving Express will be onsite doing mini treatment sessions (Reiki, massage, yoga, and more) and answering questions about their practices. Meet and mingle with other families. Enjoy food and drinks from local vendors.

  • Come together to close out the day with a sound bath to ground and cleanse.

Who we are, and why we are doing this:

What is The Advocacy Group Project (TAGP)?

TAGP is both the community arm of The Advocacy Group, extending our service work in the community around Los Angeles County, offering opportunities to volunteer on projects like food lines, homeless outreach, toy drives, and the home of The Croft Fund. Tap here for more on TAGP.

What is The Croft Fund?

The Croft Fund was established for those who cannot afford addiction and mental health treatment. It not only sponsors people in traditional inpatient treatment programs, but continues to finance sober living through 12 months of sustained recovery, an innovative, evidence-based approach, the new model for long term recovery.

Our vision is to build a community of support where individuals and families desperate for recovery can receive the financial resources needed to transform their lives, working towards a new freedom and a new happiness rooted in lasting sobriety.

How is our approach to recovery different?

TAGP’s evidence-based approach not only funds traditional inpatient treatment programs, but sober living for up to 12 months of sustained recovery, a model with a proven success rate.  In our experience, long-term sobriety is built through community and accountability - cultivating a sober life with intention and purpose.

From 2010 to 2020, there has been an increase of Drug Overdose Deaths of 140%.

From 2000 to 2020, there has been an increase in deaths of 427%.

The Croft Fund supports long term recovery. Sustained recovery is built on long-term treatment.
