Ways To Serve in Greater Los Angeles
"We are already one. But we imagine that we are not. And what we have to recover is our original unity. What we have to be is what we are".

Ongoing Hollywood Homeless Initiative
In an effort to step up and meet emergency needs due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we organized an Amazon Wish List to serve people in the homeless community in Hollywood. Our partners at Related Garments donated socks and underwear and Black Pearl made a donation of PPE. The Advocacy Group distributes all of these goods directly to homeless community members on an ongoing basis. Community members continue to donate sleeping bags, tents, warm hats, gloves and other essential items off of the Wish list.

Let’s talk about micro-fundraisers, a way you can organize your networks - friends, family, school, professional, spiritual, sports, creative, and more - to serve your community.
Inspired by a local community member who organized friends and family to make lunches for the people experiencing homelessness, we put together a program to support the planning and organization of micro-fundraisers.
Here are some ideas we are happy to talk through and make recommendations based on experience:
A lunch program for people experiencing homelessness, senior citizens, or people with disabilities.
A sleeping bag program for a local homeless community
Organizing a hygiene kit program
Building an Amazon Wish List for community aid
Putting together an online fundraiser
Organizing a drive:
Backpacks and school supplies
Coats and blankets
Socks and underwear
Making hygiene kits
Canned goods and nonperishables
Lunches for community members in need
The Advocacy Group has been awed watching so many organize fundraisers and drives through school, work, house of worship, sports, creative and other community networks.
Micro-fundraisers can be organized and executed on your own or in collaboration with TAG Project to benefit a local nonprofit organization or community group.
Contact President of TAG Project Board of Directors Elisha Hall to get started on planning your micro-fundraiser today and discuss what’s best for you.
